New director of sales for Glamour Tours

Melodie McNab is the new director of sales at Glamour Tours.

Leading Montego Bay-based destination management company, Glamour Tours, has announced the appointment of Melodie McNab as its new director of sales and marketing.

In making the announcement, Glamour Tours Chairman and Managing Director, Roy Anderson, welcomed Mrs. McNab as "a valuable member of the team" at the company which has the distinction of being a virtuoso on site in Jamaica and exclusive ground operator at the prestigious Half Moon Resort for over 15 years. Glamour Tours is privileged to be the preferred destination specialist for the distinguished travel consortia Ensemble and Signature Travel Network.

15 years experience

Mrs. McNab is a tourism professional with over 15 years experience in the industry, including extensive experience in the local communications and marketing department of the Jamaica Tourist Board, and as a standards officer monitoring all tourism entities for quality assurance standards. She recently managed major accounts sales in one of Jamaica's leading telecommunications companies and was an investment and health coverage advisor for a major financial institution.

Mrs. McNab has done extensive studies both here and overseas, and recently graduated with a masters degree in Monuments and Cultural Heritage Conservation from the University of UNPHU in Santo Domingo, where she studied under a European Union scholarship. She has a degree in tourism management from Nova Southeastern University and a diploma in hospitality management from the University of Technology. She has also studied for a degree in Business Law and has a working knowledge of Spanish.

A community-oriented person who was heavily involved in the Optimist Club of St. James, of which she is a distinguished past president, Mrs. McNab is involved in her Church activities as she believes that you should cater to the whole person. She is an avid sports fan who participates in swimming, golf and power walking.
