KNUTSFORD
NIGHT, the up-market event focusing Kingston as a tourist destination,
will return to its Knutsford Boulevard stage on the eve of Bob Marley's
birthday, Saturday, February 5. Organisers of the event, the Tourism
Product Development Company (TPDCo), promises a new and improved
product over its debut staging last December.
The objective
of the TPDCo event is to diversify Kingston's tourism product and
solidify Knutsford Boulevard as the centre for entertainment and
cultural activity to attract local and overseas visitors.
ENTERTAINMENT
CAPITAL
Knutsford Boulevard
is the heart of Jamaica's business and financial district by day,
and a hub of entertainment activity by night and is the home to
a promenade of restaurants, bars and popular nightclubs.
On Saturday
night, Kingston's Knutsford Boulevard and sections of Grenada Crescent
and Trinidad Terrace will be closed to vehicular traffic and the
area transformed into Paris-style sidewalk cafe and beautiful advertisers
booths in a feast of cultural ambrosia, including the sounds of
good music, the aroma of good food in a parade of good vibes.
