THE 2005 Expo takes a 'party-cular' twist on Saturday, October 8, with a 'Party on the Pier'.

The open-air affair, which will be held at the Cruise Ship Terminal, welcomes partygoers at 8:00 p.m., with a disco playing before and after the Fabulous Five Incorporated puts on a show as only they can, playing not only their own hits but also the spot-on renditions of Jamaican and overseas hits.

Brian Brown of the expo's organising committee said that there will be food from 13 different restaurants at the party, which will be included in the $1,000 admission fee. The food will come from restaurants in the city, which will be presenting their specialties. This includes barbecue and stir fry chicken from Coral Cliff as well as pork treats from Pork Pit.

PAID BAR

Although there will be more than enough for the palate to savour, it will not be an 'all you can eat' affair. Margaritaville will provide a paid bar.

The all-inclusive 'Party on the Pier' ends at 2:00 a.m.

The Fabulous Five Incorporated is a showband of legendary proportions, having not only several hits of their own, including the soca standards All Night Party and Ringroad Jam, but also able to deliver superb versions of hits by other performers through the many voices of Grub Cooper.

Listeners to the band's Ultimate Party Mix series, which is now at its third instalment, will be able to get the amplified, live version of the recorded experience and provide their own cheering at the 'Party on The Pier'.
