grew by 4.8 per cent during the period January-December 2004 compared
to the same period in 2003.
* Foreign nationals
increased by 5.1 per cent and non-resident Jamaicans decreased by
less than one per cent.

PERFORMANCE
North America
accounting for 78 per cent of the market, with 1,101,754 stopover
arrivals, grew by 3.6 per cent between January and December 2004.
* USA up 2.9
per cent, with 996,131 arrivals.
* Canada up
10.9 per cent, with 105,623 arrivals.
Europe with
a total of 241,925 stopover arrivals, increased by 10.7 per cent
when compared to the same period in 2003.
* U.K. up 7.9
per cent, with 161,606 arrivals.
* Italy up 2.5
per cent, with 24,915 arrivals
* Germany up
11.0 per cent, with 18,090 arrivals.
* Spain up 46,8
per cent, with 10,339 arrivals.
* The Caribbean
market grew by 9.4 per cent with 49,443 arrivals.
* The Japanese
market grew by 5.9 per cent with 4,430 arrivals.
