Three full days of Expo 2005
WHEN THE 2005 MoBay Expo opens on Friday, October 7, it
will be the beginning of three full days of activities.
The gates officially open at 10:00 a.m. for what is dubbed a 'Schools
Day', with special concessions to students. In addition, the exhibitors'
booths will be judged while they are still fresh and undisturbed
by the hordes of persons who are expected to turn up for the expo.
OFFICIAL OPENING
The official opening will also take place on Friday, at 6:00 p.m.,
where the snip of a ribbon will signify that the expo is open to
all who would wish to come and the speech of keynote speaker, president
of Jamaica Promotion, Mrs. Pat Francis will underscore the significance
of the event.
On day two, Saturday, October 8, the event opens to the public
at 10:00 a.m. The day does not close when the shutters come down
in the evening, though, as the 'Party on the Pier' will keep the
party legs moving. And during the day, the lips of the adults will
be kept moving in maybe more ways than one, as the Spelling Bee
for the big folk is sure to bring laughter along with unique pronunciation.
Sunday, October 9, is the final day and again the gates open at
10:00 a.m. Being the traditional day of worship, there will be a
gospel concert at 1:00 p.m., before the entire event closes at 6:00
p.m.
The entry fee for the expo's three days is $50 for children and
$200 for adults, with the exception of Students' Day.
