Sandals appoints new director, resort product

ADAM STEWART is now director, resort product, for Sandals/Beaches Resorts. He was recently promoted from his position as assistant director of operations, a position he held since joining the organisation in January 2004.

In his new capacity, he will have direct oversight for the operations and revenues of the photo shops, resort gift shops and the new in-room television system. Revenues to be generated from the resorts' telephone and Internet facilities, as well as other areas of on-property revenue generation, will also fall under his portfolio.

In addition to developing new products and maintaining quality standards, Adam Stewart will oversee the operations of the marine maintenance facility, which boasts the largest fleet of boats islandwide, while lending collaborative support to the Sesame Street Programme.

Mr. Stewart said, "I am really looking forward to the challenges that this new position holds. These are exciting times for the Sandals/Beaches Resorts as we position ourselves for further growth and development in an effort to remain viable in an increasingly competitive global economy."

Adam Stewart is a member of the Sandals Resorts International executive committee. He has responsibility for the implementation of corporate policies and is also chairman of the youth committee.
