This year, the organisers, Summerfest productions, have again included several young and gifted entertainers to take the stage at the World's greatest and Jamaica's best reggae show.

Among those signed are Jovi Rockwell, Alaine, Aisha, Danielle and Cherine Anderson, who have all been making an impression on reggae fans all across the world. The ladies are set to bring their music and unique style to Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest slated to take place July 16-22.

At the highly-anticipated dancehall night dubbed 'Stormfront' on July 20, the effervescent and petite beauty Danielle will captivate audiences with her most recent single Rudey. This lady fully launched into the music business in 2004, when she co-produced the track Turn Him On with female deejay Cécile. She has since been writing and producing music that has caught the ear of several prominent artistes. Her drive and charm landed her a collaboration with Beenie Man, the self-proclaimed 'King of the Dancehall' with Brown Girl In The Ring. It is with bated breath that fans wait to see if this sexy siren will team up on stage with Beenie Man come dancehall night.

Cherine Anderson

Friday, July 21, will bring 'Ignition', the first of two international nights for Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest. Jovi Rockwell and the soulful singer, Aisha, are both billed for this showcase. Both have been receiving acclaim from music producers and promoters here and overseas. Aisha has already been likened to songstress Regina Belle because of her melodic voice. She has stamped her name on the Jamaican music industry having performed on stage with some big names, including Shaggy and Kimani Marley.

ALAINE AND CHERINE LINE-UP

On the second and final international night, 'The Summit', Alaine and Cherine Anderson will help bring the curtains down on the show along with musical star Damian 'Junior Gong' Marley, Missy Elliott, Beres Hammond, Buju Banton and Rihanna. Singer and songwriter Alaine possesses a sweet voice and songwriting skills that are quite admirable. She is well known for songs like I'll Do Anything, Deeper and No Ordinary Love. She has also been fortunate enough to work with Beres Hammond, with whom she sang Love Sound.

ALAINE

Cherine Anderson came to the forefront of the entertainment industry in a different way. She turned heads from her performances in the movies Dancehall Queen and One Love. Anderson is now creating a fan base with her foray into music. The actress turned singer, has the place buzzing about her dancehall soul vibe that was shown on her single, Good Love.
