The Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry is set to launch the 12th Annual Mobay Expo under the theme 'Showcasing Jamaica and the Caribbean.' The event commences on Friday, October 19 and ends on Sunday, October 21.

The Mobay Expo features various exhibits of manufactured goods, services, technology, tourism, craft and a host of products and activities, which promise to not only educate, but entertain.

In explaining the theme for this year's expo, chairperson of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mary Chambers stated, "We have established a relationship with the rest of the Caribbean, and MoBay is very important in the scheme of regional integration.

our focuss

The expo is one way in which we can show people the fact that we're not just concentrating on Montego Bay, but that we have a world vision."

Describing the last held show in 2005, Chambers stated, "We had a pretty good response." She posited that there were in excess of 3,000 people attending two years ago, numbers she expects to see increase if the rains cease.

The Mobay Expo is obviously a great opportunity for both consumers and merchants. Chambers confirmed this by stating that business people use the expo as a prospect to display their wares, thus providing a great variety from which shoppers can choose.
