Over 70 booths on display

Dalton Laing, Gleaner Correspondent

When the Montego Bay Expo 2007 opens on Friday, over 70 booths will be on display, each taking on the responsibility of highlighting the best goods and services they have to offer with the view of enhancing Brand Jamaica.

The Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry started its first Expo in 1990 and is now presenting its 12th edition.

Each event has outdone the former with new components and ideas aimed at exposing and selling the brand in a competitive way on the global market.

The exhibitors, which represent the areas of manufacturing, goods and services, technology, tourism, craft, agriculture, education and trade and investment, will not only have their products on display, but have confirmed that some of their offerings will be available for sale.

The booths are poised to tell the story of the rich offerings in the Jamaican marketplace and the diversity that makes this country unique.

Again, this year, the Chamber will award prizes for Best Booth Competition for which the criteria are already formalised.
