Those good 'Blue Diamond' Days

SOME MEMBERS of the preopening team posed for the camera and shared fond memories of those 'Blue Diamond' days. It was the early days for The Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, the search for top talent had begun and those who made it in prior to the opening on August 25, recall the extremely busy yet fun days at the temporary office at Blue Diamond Plaza.

Liz Barker, executive assistant to the general manager, had this to say, "Blue Diamond, for me, was the start of making lifetime friendships and working with a top-class international hotel company."

Courtney Leacock, director of human resources shared: "There is no greater excitement in the life of a hotelier than starting a hotel from scratch, as we did in 1999/2000, learning and assisting in teaching the philosophy and values that made it what it is today. This is our Blue Diamond legacy."
