As one of the pioneering hotels of its kind, your admirable reputation has garnered recognition from organisations across the world. I share your pride that the popular TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice Award recently listed Half Moon as one of three Jamaican-based resorts named as the Caribbean's best resorts for families.

Most commendable are your patriotism and commitment to the Jamaican people as seen in your policy that the large majority of your workforce should be Jamaican. Your hospitable and efficient staff is essential to your endeavour to provide the ideal 'home away from home' for visitors to our beautiful isle. I thank them for being good ambassadors of Jamaica as they serve in their various fields.

Our tourism and hospitality industry has long been the backbone of our economy. Resorts such as Half Moon are key pull-factors in attracting visitors to Jamaica and making it the desired travel destination in a very highly competitive global industry.
