Congratulations on 60 glorious years!

Sixty years in the life of an organisation is no small accomplishment, and with Half Moon, A RockResort, these years have been a testament to its enduring legacy in the hospitality industry. I offer my hearty congratulations to the affable team whose consistently hard work continues to produce excellent results.

The Half Moon has been transformed from a 30-room property into a playground for the rich and famous. The lush 400-acre property now boasts a conference centre, shopping village, post office and medical centre. The iconic hotel brand has seen Jamaica's tourism industry grow from infancy to being a major player on the world stage, and the mainstay of the Jamaican economy. The hotel was established before Jamaica became an independent nation and has remained a bedrock throughout our nation's history.

During this time, the hotel has become a world-class retreat, and continues to stay apace as one of Jamaica's best-known brands. World leaders, monarchs and trendsetters have experienced the gracious Half Moon hospitality, and without exception, they have lauded the exceptional service.

The Jamaica Tourist Board has enjoyed a tremendous partnership with the Half Moon, and we intend to keep it that way.

As you commemorate this historic milestone, I wish the team and associates continued success in their personal and professional lives. And if the past is any indication of the years ahead, Half Moon is definitely in for a superb ride.
