The 50th anniversary of the Half Moon Golf Course
On behalf of the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), I extend heartfelt congratulations to the Half Moon Golf Course on this, the 50th anniversary of offering a complete golf experience to sports enthusiasts.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr and renovated by his protégé, Roger Rulewich, the 18-hole par-72 course provides a spectacular experience for both amateur and professional golfers. As one of Jamaica's oldest golf courses, the Half Moon course has contributed significantly to the development of the sport on the island.
The measure of the quality of the course is demonstrated in the number of internationally recognised tournaments that have been hosted at the facility, including The Jamaica Open, the European PGA Seniors Tournament, and the Dunhill Cup Final of the Americas.
The establishment of the Half Moon Golf Academy is further confirmation that Half Moon is committed to quality golfing, and to helping to cement the sport as an integral part of the tourism landscape. It supports the JTB's position that we are indeed a diverse destination.
We wish you all the best for the future as you strive to help golfers perfect their game.
