An iconic event for Jamaica
The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has championed the annual staging of Reggae Sumfest since its inception 17 years ago. We are pleased to support and sponsor this event because Reggae Sumfest offers a solid opportunity to attract visitors to Jamaica as well as to attract positive media attention.
No other destination can offer the greatest reggae show on earth, in the birthplace of the music genre. It is a world-renowned event iconic to Jamaica, and it sets Destination Jamaica apart from other places which may want to offer a reggae festival. In addition, the event provides a showcase for Jamaican talent, many of whom have an international following. This provides additional traction in securing media coverage.
We Jamaicans are known for throwing a good party and Reggae Sumfest has consistently lived up to this reputation. The event consistently gets excellent ratings for the quality of music and performing artistes. It is clear that patrons appreciate this excellent show.
Reggae Sumfest is a highly rated product with benefits extending far beyond the Montego Bay area. The union between the JTB and Summerfest Productions has certainly been a fruitful one and we look forward to celebrating more Sumfest years together.
