Congrats, Half Moon!

On behalf of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association, it is my great pleasure to congratulate Half Moon, A RockResort on its 60th anniversary. Little did the group of entrepreneurs know that they were investing in what would become a trailblazer for the luxury-hotel industry in the Caribbean when they decided to build a winter escape on a perfectly crescent-shaped beach on the Jamaican north coast 60 years ago.

Under the leadership of Professor Heinz Simonitsch, OD, Half Moon expanded its role as a landmark to world-class hospitality that is renowned across the globe for its beautifully landscaped gardens, fine dining restaurants, luxurious accommodation and team of dedicated and hospitable staff.

Half Moon continues to build on its successes over the past 60 years and remains a beacon of distinction in the hotel industry. The resort with its high level of personalised service and varied, world-class amenities has become the standard by which many other luxury hotels in the Caribbean are judged.

On this 60th year of operations, I commend Half Moon, A RockResort for its continued excellence and prosperity. I hope for 60 more years of the same success in the future.
